Omg. I've been away from DA for a looong time. And now I'm back and I wonder if anyone remembers who I am or not. 
Anyway, about this picture. I recently read R. Matheson's I Am Legend and it was quite good. It didn't directly inspire me, but I got inspiration for creating a back-story from it.
Spoiler: /After protagonist Robert Neville accepts that he's the only uninfected person alive, he says that normalcy is "a majority concept, the standard of many and not the standard of just one man", and he realizes that to the ravenous mob of freakish creatures outside that are waiting for his execution, he's a legend. Then he commits suicide. /
This picture depicts the time after his death. Normality has returned to the Earth, only in a different form. There are no legends anymore.
